8. Greeting a Visitor

1.

A: Welcome, Ron, come on in!

B: Hi, Malia! What a nice home!

A: We enjoy it too!

B: How long have you lived here?

A: About four years now.

B: Well, it is very beautiful.

A: Ron, have a seat and I'll get us something to drink.

B: Good! I am really thirsty. You know it really is hot outside!

A: I have lemonade, iced tea, and mango juice.

B: Mango juice would be perfect. Thank you!

2.

A: Hi Ron, please come in!

B: Good to see you, Malia. I love your house!

A: We are very lucky to be living in this house.

B: Have you lived here a long time?

A: This was my parents' house, so I grew up here.

B: It seems to be perfect for you.

A: Come on in and see the kitchen, and I'll get us both something to drink.

B: Great! It's such a hot day today, isn't it?

A: Would you like lemonade, iced tea, or mango juice?

B: I would love a nice glass of lemonade.

3.

A: Come right on in, Ron, and welcome to our home!

B: It's so nice to see you, Malia. What a wonderful home!

A: We really like living in this neighborhood.

B: How long have you had this house?

A: We just moved here last year.

B: It's a beautiful home. You've done a great job decorating it.

A: I've got some drinks for us in the kitchen.

B: That would be wonderful. It was really hot driving over here.

A: I can offer you lemonade, iced tea, or mango juice.

B: Iced tea sounds really good right now!
