John had been on the road for hours. The sun was high in the sky as he drove along the open highway. His stomach rumbled, reminding him that it was time for lunch. Spotting a familiar fast-food restaurant sign, he pulled into the drive-thru. A cheerful voice greeted him through the speaker, "Welcome to Burger Haven! How can I help you today?"

John placed his order, opting for a classic cheeseburger, some crispy fries, and a cold soda. As he approached the pickup window, he noticed the server, Stephanie, had a warm smile and bright eyes. She handed him his meal with a friendly, "Enjoy your lunch!" John thanked her and pulled into a parking spot to eat. The burger was juicy and the fries were perfectly crispy.

Just as he was finishing his meal, Stephanie came out to clear some nearby tables. They struck up a conversation. John learned that she was a college student working at the restaurant part-time. John found himself enjoying her company as much as his lunch. When it was time to hit the road again, John couldn't help smiling.
