Emily went to the park with her mom. She saw kids playing on the swings and slides. Emily wanted to join in, but she felt shy because she didn't know anyone. Emily's mom noticed and said, "Why don't you go and say 'hi' to the kids, Emily?" Emily nodded and walked over to a girl named Lily. She smiled and said, "Hi, my name is Emily. Can I play with you?" Lily smiled back and said, "Of course! I'm Lily. Let's go on the swings together." Emily and Lily became friends. They laughed, swung high, and went down the slides together. They even shared their snacks. Soon, more kids joined them, and they all played together. Emily felt so happy making new friends.
