Every year, when December came, the family got excited because it was time to decorate their home for Christmas. Mom and Dad brought down the boxes of decorations from the attic, and the kids, Lily and Jake, eagerly helped. They hung colorful lights on the front of their house, making it sparkle like a winter wonderland. Inside, they put up a tall, green Christmas tree. The children carefully placed ornaments and shiny tinsel on the branches. They also hung stockings by the fireplace, hoping that Santa Claus would fill them with presents on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, the children woke up to find the tree surrounded by beautifully wrapped gifts. They opened them with joy and laughter.
