Sophie had been looking forward to going to the zoo all week. She was eager to see all the animals she had only ever read about in books. As they arrived, the first thing Sophie saw was a huge elephant. She could hardly believe how big and powerful the elephant was. Next, they went to see the giraffes, which used their long necks to reach the leaves on the trees. Sophie was also excited to see the monkeys swing from tree to tree. As they walked through the zoo, Sophie saw many other animals, including lions, tigers, zebras, and kangaroos. Sophie was tired. She knew there were many more animals to see. She will explore the zoo further next time.
